Ukraine (2)

The weekend was filled with excitement as I was invited to visit the city of L’viv.

In the 18th century, Lviv was the heart of the western ukrainian empire. The eastern and western bloc were divided. The eastern was more inclined towards the culture, tradition and political influence of the Slavian countries whereas the western part were within tight Russian control. Read more »

Saya telah diminta untuk mengulas tentang beberapa isu mutakhir negara oleh Saudara Zulfiqar Samsuri dalam projek survey blog RepublikKata. Why a slice when you can have the whole cake?

I’m going to argue about some idealism, in a simplistic way.

On one side we have the libertarian. Fighting for a world of absolute freedom and self-responsibility. Success is reacheable and limitless when there’s no boundary prohibiting it. Human intelligence is given the highest honour. Open market produces competition. A large number of competitors results for better service and high quality products at a cheaper price. Everything seems to look perfect, isn’t it?

On Ezam’s return to UMNO

I just finished the ‘Principle of Geographical Information System’ exam 2 hours ago. It was one of my favourite subjects in my 2nd year studying Exploration & Resource Geology. It dealt with acquisition, manipulation and managing geographically reference and spatial data into useful information. I hope to score high in this module.

I was deeply strucked when my housemate told me of a rumour that was going around the web; Ezam might re-join UMNO. Ezam was said to make a statement on such premise last Tuesday. And he made it, and confirmed the ‘allegation’.

Could PAS and UMNO be united?

(Picture taken from: KLPos.com)

Rumours of PAS leaders having private meetings with UMNO leaders with regards of uniting the two parties under the name of Malay survival is everywhere. Unfortunately, these rumours are deemed to be baseless.

Writings especially by the outspoken Ong Kian Meng in his article entitled ‘PAS-UMNO talks – cause for concern’ suggested that PAS would be the first Pakatan’s component party to leave, if it happens to be so.

The type of country I dream of living in (Part 1)

There has been many stories told by political writers and analyst on Malaysia’s current political landscape. Some would even go to the extent of thinking of disintegrating the whole constitution and dissolve the land’s previous history, and create a new one. A so-called new Malaysia. I definitely have a respect on everyone who has their own ideas on how they would want to see their country look like, and I strongly believe everyone should have and uphold their ideals!

In this episode, I will dwell on issues regarding race, ideology, religion and history.

The letter that ended our sovereignity in Pulau Batu Putih

I believe all Malaysians were furious when they got to know that Pulau Batu Putih is now part of Singapore, except for Rais Yatim!

New blog

It has been a very long time, almost half a year since I stop blogging. I may have been occupying myself with loads of reading, academic works as well as enjoying myself with friends. It is time, I feel, to resume where I stopped. To re-blogging (if such word exist), again.

What will happen to my old blog? I think it will be just there, without any intention of removing it from the web.

I also have a concern of commitment in writing blogposts. At the moment, i am investigating a way to blog using my Blackberry. There is a way, and I’m trying to familiarise myself with it. It might be a short post, but it’s worth sharing a little bit than nothing.
